***The Last Hope of the Humans***
It is the year 2043. Following the systematic elimination of entire populations, the continents are almost ready- a wasteland. Only a few small factions are left, protected by the sole surviving city. For decades, this city has been under the guidance of a supernatural band of guardians sent to keep the human population from becoming extinct. At the beginning of their appearance, these guardians appeared as stalwart warriors who were able to interact with the humans and fight their battles, but over time, their power has diminished, leaving them merely a privy council that leads the last of the race in battle against evolved species who would seek to destroy them. With their ever diminishing role in the human realm, the guardians have made it their final task to employ the help of a human stamped with the crest of the gods who will become the leader and recruiter of the next group of guardians.

***A New Guardian***
Your village was burned to the ground, and you were its final resident, the sole survivor, when a supernatural being descended upon the ruins of your homeland to mark you. Fleeing from whatever prophesy has been given to you, you've managed to evade every race including your own for nearly six years, when you are taken prisoner and brought to the surviving city for sentencing. It is there that you discovered that your mark was that of the next race of guardians and that now you must take on the responsibilities of keeping humanity from going extinct.
